About Us
Donegal Garden Society provides an opportunity for gardeners in the
County to share ideas and knowledge on plants of all types. Our members
include experienced gardeners and complete beginners, so all are
welcome.
We are a friendly lot so why not join us this year?
Our activities include:
- Monthly meetings from September to July, with excellent
speakers on a wide variety of gardening topics.
- Regular plant sales at monthly meetings. Members are
encouraged to bring along their surplus plants and speakers from garden
centres, nurseries, etc will often bring stock for sale.
- Group visits to members' gardens in Spring and early summer
- always interesting and fun social events.
- Day and half-day Visits to private and public gardens.
- An annual long weekend to explore gardens in a particular
area - recent years have seen trips to West Cork, the Irish Midlands
and Scotland.
- All members receive a Member Directory so that they can
contact other DGS gardeners for ideas and assistance.
The Newsletter, which is published several times a year, gives
information about the Group's activities, hints, tips and ideas for
garden visits.
